The team of Wesley Cashwell and Flash Butts of Roanoke Rapids, NC took top honors in the season opener with a 6 fish limit weighing 19.24 lbs. Wesley and Flash netted $1800 for their first place win. Congratulations to Wesley and Flash on an outstanding catch on a cold, muddy, rising water day of fishing.
The team of Abe Abernathy of Greensboro, NC and David Lucas of High Point, NC were tourney runner-ups with a 6 fish creel that weighed 18.50 lbs and was anchored with the #2 tournament lunker of 4.88 lbs. Abe and David's catch earned them $1000 plus $350 for the lunker.
Third place was captured by the team of Chris Jennings of Altavista, VA and Lee White of Appomattox, VA. Chris and Lee's 6 fish limit of 16.88 lbs earn them $400 for the day.

9th place Jason and Donnie Houchins of Clarksville, VA, 5 fish, 13.70 lbs, $120
The "Lucky Dog" winner for $100 random draw from the field of participants was Randy Anderson of Chatham, VA and Donnie Wyatt of Danville. The tournament lunker was caught by the team of Billy Shelton and Todd Dorton. Their 5.14 pounder landed them $810 for the one cast.
